Why are you so cheap?
1.) mastering is not our only resource of income
2.) through digital order/distribution we are able to cut down our expenses
3.) charging $100 per song for mastering is just crazy! Equipment is expensive but not so expensive we should exploit our customers like 99% of online mastering companies do...
What should I do to get my songs ready for Mastering?
Just do your best with recording and mixing and leave us at least -3db of headroom
What I should not do to my songs to get them ready for mastering?
Do not put any processing on the master bus: do NOT normalize, do NOT compress, do NOT limit, do NOT finalize...
Take compression for exmp...
Alot of people don't know compression is multiplicative and not simply additive. So if u put gentle compression of 2:1 on master bus and later we compress it for exmp 10:1 song will be compressed by 20:1 (NOT 12:1)! Do you really want your songs squashed like that? We dont think so...
What is the best format my songs should be at?
24bit-44(96)kHz stereo Wav or Aiff format
